Fair Usage Policy
By using HiQloud services, you agree to follow this Fair Usage Policy.
At HiQloud, we aim to provide secure and high-performance cloud hosting for all customers. This Fair Usage Policy explains how our resources can be used responsibly. It is designed to ensure fair access, system stability, and protection for all users on our network.
By using HiQloud services, you agree to follow this policy in addition to our Terms of Service.
Purpose of the Fair Usage Policy
HiQloud operates on shared and cloud-based infrastructure. This means system resources such as CPU, RAM, storage, bandwidth and network capacity are distributed across multiple users.
The purpose of this policy is to prevent misuse, abuse, or excessive consumption of resources that may negatively affect other customers. Our goal is to maintain a reliable environment where every user receives consistent performance.
Fair Resource Usage
All customers are expected to use resources reasonably and within the limits of their purchased plan.
CPU & RAM Usage
You may use the allocated CPU and RAM for normal application workloads. However,
- Continuous high usage that impacts server stability or other users may result in temporary throttling or restriction.
- Sustained abnormal consumption may require upgrading to a higher plan.
Storage Usage
Storage must be used for website files, applications, and related hosting data only. It cannot be used as:
- Backup storage for unrelated systems
- File sharing platforms
- Media streaming storage
- Archival storage unrelated to hosted services
- Excessive or abnormal storage usage may be reviewed and restricted.
Bandwidth Usage
Bandwidth provided with your plan must be used for legitimate website and application traffic. Activities that generate artificial traffic spikes, traffic reselling or bandwidth abuse are not allowed.
Prohibited Resource-Intensive Activities
To maintain fair system performance, the following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Cryptocurrency mining or blockchain node operations
- Running automated bots that consume excessive CPU or network resources
- Distributed computing programs
- AI model training or heavy computation workloads (unless specifically permitted)
- Continuous stress testing or benchmarking of the network
- Any activity that intentionally overloads infrastructure
These activities can cause performance degradation and are not permitted under standard hosting plans.
Network Abuse & Blacklisting Prevention
HiQloud maintains strict network integrity standards. The following activities are not allowed:
- Spam, bulk emailing, or mass messaging
- Hosting phishing pages, scams, or fraudulent content
- Malware distribution or malicious scripts
- DDoS attacks or participation in botnets
- Port scanning, vulnerability scanning, or unauthorized probing
- Operating open proxies, VPN services, or anonymization tools
- Activities that cause IP blacklisting or abuse complaints
Any such activity may lead to immediate suspension without notice.
Account Responsibility
You are responsible for all activity under your account, including actions performed by:
- Sub-users
- Developers
- Employees
- Clients (in case of resellers)
If your account generates complaints, abuse reports or legal notices, you are fully responsible for resolving them. Failure to do so may result in service suspension or termination.
Automated Monitoring & Review
HiQloud may monitor resource usage, traffic patterns, and system behavior to maintain platform stability. If unusual usage patterns are detected, we may:
- Temporarily limit resources
- Request clarification
- Recommend plan upgrades
- Suspend the service if necessary
Monitoring is performed solely to ensure fair performance and security for all users.
Service Suspension Under Fair Usage
Services may be temporarily restricted or suspended if:
- Resource usage exceeds reasonable limits
- Activities threaten network stability
- Abuse complaints are received
- There is risk to infrastructure or reputation
Repeated violations may result in permanent termination of services.
Upgrade Requirement
If your project grows beyond the limits of your current plan, you may be required to upgrade to a higher-tier service. HiQloud reserves the right to recommend migration to dedicated or enterprise-level infrastructure for high-demand workloads.
No Unlimited Abuse
If a plan is marketed as "unlimited," it is subject to fair and reasonable usage standards. "Unlimited" does not mean unrestricted or abusive usage. It refers to standard operational usage within normal business limits.
Data Protection & Backups
Customers are responsible for maintaining their own backups. HiQloud does not guarantee automatic backups unless explicitly included in your plan. In case of suspension due to Fair Usage violations:
- Data may become inaccessible
- Storage may be cleared
- IP addresses may change
We strongly recommend regular external backups.
Policy Updates
HiQloud may update this Fair Usage Policy at any time to reflect infrastructure changes, regulatory requirements, or service improvements. Continued use of services means acceptance of the updated policy.
Final Statement
The Fair Usage Policy exists to protect all customers and ensure equal access to reliable cloud hosting services. Responsible usage ensures long-term stability, performance and trust across the HiQloud network.
If you have any questions about acceptable usage, you are encouraged to contact our support team before deploying your project.
